The A-Level Edit: The Big Apple

'The Big Apple'

Is it just me, or does anyone else have to sing 'NEW YOOOORRKK' like Alicia Keys when talking about NYC? I went there in 2015 on a college trip and absolutely loved it. The pieces in this post were part of a coursework project based on architecture, which isn't really my favourite subject to draw or paint, mostly because there are often so many details to squeeze in. The drawing above is the view from the top of the Rockefeller Center. You can probably see that most of the buildings are scribbles, but, in my defence, that's also how they look in the actual image (below)!

New York is obviously known for its skyscrapers, so that's what a lot of these pieces focussed on.

And the iconic Brooklyn Bridge (clearly unfinished)!
