Another eye? Groundbreaking stuff! This is my brother Zach's eye. One day I'd like to do a coloured drawing of my brothers' eyes; they're a really bright blue and look especially nice in the sun. But for now, I'll stick to graphite!
You can find everything I used to create this drawing in the previous post about equipment. I found the blending stumps particularly useful for drawing the eyeball and the iris in this piece. A tip for anyone wanting to draw a realistic, up-close eye: the edge of the iris isn't a harsh, sharp line. If you look really closely, the outer edge is blurry and soft, so if you take a blending stump or piece of tissue and carefully blend the edge, it will appear more life-like and natural!
